Our café was born out of a deep, long-held dream that goes far beyond just serving coffee. Years ago, Laura worked in a cozy coffee shop owned by her aunt, where she fell in love with the rhythm of the kitchen and the joy of bringing people together over warm drinks and homemade meals. It was there that the seed was planted — a dream to one day open a space of her own, where people could gather, connect, and enjoy handcrafted food and drinks. Life took Laura on many beautiful journeys, including the greatest calling of all: motherhood. While raising nine wonderful children, she also ran a custom software development company, Gnomon Technology, which allowed her to stay home and build solutions behind the scenes. However, the pull for community and connection never faded, and she knew the time had come to bring that dream to life.

It's not just a café; it's a ministry. Laura felt called to create a space where people could slow down, connect, and feel seen. With more than 20 years of experience in hospitality, food service, and business, she poured her heart and soul into making The Coffee Haus a place where peace, prayer, and conversation flow freely. Her family homestead, Arcadia Hill Farm, also played a huge role in shaping the café’s offerings, with fresh, seasonal ingredients often featured in the scratch-made soups and specials. Every panini, cookie, and cup of coffee is not just a product, but an offering — a chance to serve, connect, and uplift. The Coffee Haus has become a true reflection of Laura's mission, providing not just great food and coffee, but a place where community and connection are always the heart of the experience.
